The Nijmegen Centre for Semantics was founded in 2001 with the aim of establishing a common platform for semantic research conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, and the Faculty of Language and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Nijmegen. The NCS brings together people from various disciplines who share an interest in the semantics of natural language, the Centre sponsors conferences and workshops, and promotes the exchange with researchers and institutions in Europe and the US.
The NCS hosted the 9th Sinn und Bedeutung, SiN III and Rob's Festshop.
